Economics at NCEA Level 3 explores the market economy in detail, looking at the role and efficiency of market forces and influences on the New Zealand economy, including the role of government. Students also explore macro-economic influences to gain an understanding of the current state of the New Zealand economy. If you want to become an influencer, then this is the course for you.
Note: An alternative pathway is available within this option involving Unit Standards in Financial Capability for students wishing to improve their financial literacy.
Recommended Entry Criteria
NCEA Level 2 English, Mathematics, and 12 credits in Level 2 Economics, or see HOD.
