Course Description

This course is an academic English programme and we will be building in some options.  It seeks to foster the skills needed to see how texts are created and structured for a particular purpose.  It also focuses on improving and refining skills such as listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing and presenting.

Note:  Not all of the listed Standards will be covered - choices will be made in negotiation with the class teacher to a maximum of 20 / 21 credits.  Subject endorsement possible. 

Recommended Entry Criteria

At least 14 Level 2 English Achievement Standards.  Teacher consultation and guidance at course selection time will be vital.
