Level 3 Business Studies

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms Y. Daly.

Students work in teams to run a business enterprise that is innovative and sustainable. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) alongside NCEA. You will work with local business people, and have the chance to compete in regional and national competitions against other schools for regional awards, cash prizes and tertiary scholarships. Alongside this you will plan a marketing campaign for your business or a local business that operates in a global context. Students will need to be innovative, forward thinking and self-motivated.

Students need to apply to take this course.

Recommended Entry Criteria

NCEA Level 2 English, Level 1 Mathematics, or 12 credits in Level 2 Business Studies, or see HOD. Due to its collaborative nature, this subject requires full participation in all activities throughout the year. High attendance is essential.
