Level 2 Accounting

Course Description

This course provides students with the practical application of processes and the opportunity to relate to real-world business systems. Over the year students will use software to explore the importance of cash flow forecasting; learn to process accounting data into meaningful information; develop a knowledge and understanding of the systems and controls required to ensure financial data is accurate, prepare financial reports which meet user needs, analyse and interpret financial reports, and make informed decisions based on financial and non-financial information. In combination with Economics, Accounting is a sound platform for future studies in Commerce and Business Administration. 

Note: An alternative pathway is available within this option involving Unit Standards in Financial Capability for students wishing to improve their financial literacy.
