Level 1 History

Course Description

Our theme for this year is ‘What is a Historian?”
Students will study a range of contexts from World History. They will develop strategies for processing information, especially from online, to develop their ability to identify bias and propaganda and different perspectives. History helps students develop their formal writing style and ability to interpret complex texts. There is a New Zealand research component in which students will have some choice.
Note: This course has not yet been finalised. The course will include three of the standards listed.
