Year 9 Mathematics

Mathematics is the study of patterns and relationships to solve problems and help explain the world around us. In Year 9, students build on previous learning to establish solid foundational skills. These skills allow students to develop critical thinking and problem solving through a range of open, rich mathematical tasks. The focus is on understanding our number system and finding multiple ways to apply that understanding in a variety of contexts.
