Recommended Entry CriteriaLevel 2 Visual Art - Painting and gained 12 credits for external portfolio.
Using a range of contemporary drawing and painting approaches, students are guided through an in-depth exploration into the production of artworks. Students taking this subject will see it as a valid stepping stone into either a Fine Arts or Design related course on completion of secondary school.
This course is officially part of the NCEA Scholarship programme. Students taking Level 3 practical Art can choose to submit a scholarship portfolio.

An approved device with photoshop is required for all senior Visual Art students.
Photoshop comes at a cost of $10 per year.
