Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Gillespie

This is a largely practical based course that uses industry Unit Standards. Students plan, design, construct and evaluate textile products using understanding gained from research whilst developing skills in construction techniques. The course uses the unit standards to assess making a child’s garment, a leisure garment and applying a design to fabric.

Recommended Entry Criteria

Level 1 Textiles Technology or see HOD. A passion for textiles and an interest in sewing.
